Confirmed on SSN.

THAT is why we are going to piss this league and you nobodys will be left behind. £1.2 million is the supposed fee.

We could get the best out of Billy with our style of football, rather than the horrid hoofball he has had to put up with.

He's done nothing in this division since he made the step up.

Keogh was his foil, without him he's nothing!

Don't talk soft, I have seen the lad play in L1 and he was fucking awesome, he has had to put up with that horrid shitty football that the people of Sheffield are obviously used to, he would score loads and loads of goals in a footballing side, like Danny said, you don't score 59 goals in 2 seasons when you are crap. He is better than anyone Wednesdays have anyways, or could get.

Rob the Rover on the VSC has posted this, and as he is someone in the know, I have 100% faith in what he has said regarding who he has spoken to:

'
OK folks, this is how it is......

I've just spoken with Gareth, who spoke with John last night. It is true that we have made a bid for Billy Sharp, but I can neither confirm or deny the amount involved (obviously this is sensitive information, especially as other clubs are now alerted to his availability). We had an agreement with United to keep this quiet, but obviously something has been leaked from somewhere. John is now in communication with United to try to progress this quickly, so fingers crossed everyone.'

They are apparently just interested in him, still think he would come to us even if he was offered daft money. The more I think about this the more excited I get, at Scunny the ball was played on the deck and he scored goals, lots of them. Think we will be top half if we get him.

Whatever.

When he's scored consistently at this level (or higher, yeah right!) we'll talk again. Until then we'll just have to agree to disagree I guess! Razz

You don't have one striker capable of scoring as many goals as Billy Sharp does, simple as. We have seen what he is capable of, your just letting the fact he is a Blades fan deter your judgement on him.

He is apparently desperate to come here aswell:

Just shows how massive we are.

I'm not playing up to your internet ego Sean.

So you can say what you like but it isn't going to change my opinion and, unfortunately for you, at this time the facts back me up! Razz

I am afraid not, find me one player currently at Sheffield Wednesday that has a better goalscoring record than Billy.

You know full well the football he has had to contend with at Bramall Lane, its more one dimensional than even you Wendys are used to!

Billy Sharp was highly rated at Brammal Lane anyhow, i remember last season when he hit a hatrick against QPR within 30 minutes or so, he played upfront on himself that day when the ball was played through on the floor to him, i'm sure of Doncaster can do that they have got themselves a very good striker on there books.

Now you lot and Scunny being linked aswell Danny.

Seems like Blades want more for him than we offerered, they have put him on the transfer list. Which means he will be going, just to the highest bidder at a guess.

07/08 season (for some reason stats aren't up for last season yet).

Billy Sharp
League 21 (8.) 4
FA Cup 2 (2) 0
League Cup 3 (0) 2

26 first team appearance, 10 sub appearances, 6 goals. Average of one goal per 6 games...

Marcus Tudgay

League 29 (6) 7
FA Cup 2 (0) 1
League Cup 3 (0) 0

34 first team appearances, 6 as sub, 8 goals. Average of one goal per 5 games.

Are we done yet? Razz

Nah by the sounds of it Doncaster arnt willing to go over the £750,000 mark for him and now we are set to table a 1 million pound bid after he has been placed on the transfer list, how things change, although he wouldnt fit in our type of football so i hope to god he doesnt sign for us....
