| Scotland have dropped 10 places to 26th in Fifa's latest world rankings. The Scots dropped 156 ranking points following an opening loss to Macedonia in World Cup qualifying Group 9 but recovered with a win in Iceland. England move up one place to 14th after a winning start to their campaign against Croatia and Andorra. Northern Ireland drop three places to 35th, while Wales remain the lowest-ranked home nation after tumbling eight places to 61st. The Republic of Ireland remain in 38th place. European champions Spain retain their place at the top of the rankings, with Italy holding onto second spot. Elsewhere, Germany remain in third spot in the latest rankings and Brazil leapfrog Netherlands into fourth place. Croatia hold onto sixth position and Argentina remain in seventh. | If Brazil played Germany then Brazil would win. The rankings are lying. Why the hell are we below Cameron? And one place above Bulgaria - they've only got one good player (Petrov). | |

I'd like to think so but I would say there are at least five teams better than us. However if we get to the world cup and avoid the big guns I think the semis are a big possibility. | |

| I agree with you but i think we are better then Holland and Croatia for sure but on our daywe could beat any of the teams above us in the rankings. | |
