| Defender Ashley Kitchen has been released from Field Mill this afternoon by mutual consent.
The 20 year old has made just five starts in our first team since his debut in April 2007.
Manager David Holdsworth told mansfieldtown.net: ""Ashley came to me today and we had a long discussion. There are certain things I can't disclose. However, he asked if we could come to an agreement regarding his contract and we have agreed that he leaves today by mutual consent.
"I must say that since I have been here he has worked very hard and has been professional. We wish him and his family all the best for the future."
