brian 'o gets halifax chop

Former Cork City defender Brian O’Callaghan has been released by Blue
Square Premier side Halifax Town – just a month after his move to the
west Yorkshire outfit.

Centre half O’Callaghan returned to Ireland two years ago after spells with Barnsley and Notts County.


He spent two years at Turners Cross before making another move to the UK by joining Halifax in the January transfer window.


However, the 26-year-old is a free agent once more, released by Shaymen
manager Chris Wilder after just one appearance for the club.
