Or you could cheat and make one massive sell.

Darren Byfield to Man City for 50 million?

Probably could, make it two player and sell your shit players to Chelsea for big money, Then when done, retire as player two and just carry on with player 1.

we've all done it from time to time, you have had to in recent years as clubs never paid market value for your players, when i got st pauli up loads of people were after my players, unsettled them, offered fuck all, so i took over bayern and sold them for double market value

My Leicester team is 12 points clear at the top of League One, 88 points with 6 games left. And my signings were:

WB/AM L - Killian Brennan (Bohemians) £65k
ST - Andy Jackson (St. Johnstone) £190k
GK - Angel Bernabe (Atl. Madrid) £110k
D/M C - Ryan McGowan (Hearts) £100k
AM C - Chris Riley (Celtic) £3k
ST - Simon Cox (Swindon) £625k

Killian Brennan is one of the best bargains i've ever made, he gets a rating of at least 7.1 almost every single game, takes good free kicks and penalties and is extremely fast, a good rival to Pat McCourt Razz.

Andy Jackson is a top signing, he is only 20 when you buy him, hes real pacey and has 21 goals for me this season.

Angel Bernabe is a great young keeper, hes in the reserves at Madrid, he hasn't had loads to do but does the job for me.

Ryan McGowan is a definate signing IMO, his attributes are great and on my other careers he has turned out a top Premier Midfielder, and at £100k this is one hell of a signing.

Chris Riley is nothing spectacular but one hell of a bargain, fast but shit in the air, i'm not so sure he would do it in the Championship.

Simon Cox, well hes Simon Cox. Crap stats but scores fucking loads, he has 31 in the league for me so far, and has interest from Bolton.

Also adding to what Tommy said about Joe Allen, it happens on fm09, every season you get a new batch of youngsters, Odd Grenland got Joe Allen and I snapped him up, he turned out one of the best forwards in the world, that was just lucky IMO. Also one tip I recommend for any team in any league is signing players of the clubs that go down, i've got Surman, Priskin, Ambrose and all kinds of quality in the past, hope it helps.

lol. I remember back on CM 2000/01 I was expected to win the league with Arsenal and messed up in my first season. I also remember on the same game taking charge of Leeds and deliberately getting them relegated from the Premiership.

At the moment on FM09 I have just left Fiorentina for Tottenham (possibly a step down but Spurs won the league and Redknapp's just retired so I thought I might as well. Origionally took the England job and have been taking charge of club sides every now and then. Sevilla, I got them from 15th to 3rd in La Liga, before resigning. Newcastle I took them from the same position to top and then I 'quited while I was ahead' so to speak. Took charge of QPR 'cos I thought they might have a large budget but was dissapointed left at the end of the season after loads of my major stars wanted out. Got knocked out of the WC at the quarter final stage with England before return to football with Voila. Their media prediction was 6th and I finished 4th. Left at the end of 2010/11 for Spurs for the reason at the top of the paragraph and I am rading former clubs. Currently assembled my staff, Jesus Calderon from Sevilla and Franco Baldini from Fiorentina. I have signed right back Jesus Gamez from Benfica, Stephen Ireland and Aaron Lennon from Manchester City and now I am looking for a striker with Demba Ba (Fiorentina) and Ismail Bangora (West Brom) top of my targets.

Meanwhile Stuart Pearce has been named Liverpool manager (wtf?) after Fabio Capello retired. Javirre Aguirre, who seems to appear everywhere is in charge at Old Trafford. Appointed Dave Penney as manager of the Under-21's because Pearce cannot combine club roles as he has proved in the past.

Football Manager 2nd season signings update

D LC - Sieme Zijm (FC Emmen) free
D/WB R - Charles Kazlauskas (TOP Oss) free
GK - Alex Smithies (Huddersfield) free
AM RC - Magnus Eikrem (Man Utd) free
M C - John-Joe O'Toole (Watford) p/ex with Fryatt
AM LC - Brian Howard (Sheff Utd) free
M RC - Guy Ramos (FC Dordrecht) free
D/WB R - Stephen Kelly (Birmingham) free
ST - Michael Potts (Blackburn) £1.7mil
ST - Dexter Blackstock (QPR) £120k
AM RC/F C - Razvan Cocis (released from Lokomotiv Moscow in December) free
D C - Jean-Yves M'Voto (Sunderland) loan

Sieme Zijm is 32 and isn't a bad back up to my defenders, but hes just retired at the end of the season, up to you really.

Charles Kazlauskas has brilliant attributes but remains as just a back-up to Stephen Kelly, makes good cover again. No major recommendation but not bad.

Alex Smithies hasn't played a game for me all season, but i'd still say a must buy for Championship clubs, one of the top English young keepers and available on a free, but Bernabe has been in good form for me this season so hes just a back-up

Magnus Eikrem has been pretty poor tbh, one of Fergies released youngsters may only ever turn out as a back-up for me, £300k and i'll gladly accept.

John-Joe O'Toole is statistically my player of the season, 21 and an Irish international, but hes had 2 long term injurys over the season, if your luck with injurys is good for him then a must buy IMO.

Brian Howard has also done a great job for me, but got a 6 month injury against Sheff Utd (a game where we got 6 fucking injurys :@), which ruled him out for the season, still worth a pop though.

Guy Ramos is a good back-up, hes always filled in with some decent performances but no major recommendation.

Stephen Kelly has a scout report of key member of first team squad, with also saying he'd be good for most Premier League sides. He is a top Championship right back, but can't help feeling a bit iffy when he got a 4.4 rating in one game as we lost 3-2.

Michael Potts was dubbed the next Michael Owen, i'd prefer to call him the next Elvis Hammond, he is absolutely useless, if I make a third on what I paid i'll be happy, complete waste of £1.7mil :@.

Dexter Blackstock was bought in January (like all the rest that come after him in this list), for £120k has done a pretty good job, but he has no star quality about him, he could be good but Championship is his peak.

Razvan Cocis has a quality report from my scouts. A tip for you all is to look out for the Russian League in December and January when they release a load of players, Cocis is a Romanian international and is definately worth a shot, he will get more playing time next season if I sell Cox to Bristol City for £4mil.

Jean-Yves M'Voto is a decent loan aquisition, he played 5 games, got a red card but 7.0+ ratings, he is a decent back up and might be one for the future.

In the next couple of weeks i'll give you all another report on my signings, I came 11th in the Championship which if i'm being honest I was quite dissapointed with, but i'm going for at least the playoffs this time. Hope it helps you all in the Championship. Smile
